Professor Winfried Ruigrok is a Professor of International Management and the Dean of the Executive School of Management, Technology & Law (ES-HSG) at the University of St.Gallen.  The Executive School is the University of St.Gallen’s platform for all post-experience and executive education activities, incl.  MBA, Executive MBA, open enrolment, and in-house custom programmes.

Winfried’s research is in the areas of international strategy, corporate governance, top management teams and boards, diversity management, and case study research.  His papers have been published in leading scholarly and popular outlets, incl. Strategic Management Journal, Organizational Research Methods, Journal of Management Studies, Management International Review, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Zeitschrift für betriebswirtschaftliche Forschung, Financial Times, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

Winfried studied political science and international economic relations at the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), where he also obtained his PhD.  He previously worked in the Netherlands (Rotterdam School of Management/Erasmus University, University of Amsterdam, and Netherlands Organisation for International Development Cooperation), Belgium (European Commission), and the UK (Warwick Business School).  He has worked as a consultant or executive education provider with numerous domestic and multinational companies and organisations, and serves on the board and as a jury member of several organisations.  He can be followed at twitter.com/WinfriedRuigrok.
